Star Wars themed tracks?

That's what i'm talking about. I figure, if it's involved in Star Wars, it has to be good (and, yeah, i mean Episodes IV - VI). And, yeah, i picked a MASSIVE picture of Darth Vader. It's because he's more badass than you. Xxx



Anyhow, so i've finally got around to investigating next big things (how lame is that phrase? Answers on a stamped addressed envelope will be read and laughed at) Neon Neon who i'm not quite sure how to describe, they are, however, notorious Anticon producer Boom Bip and Super Furry Animals singy bloke Gruff Rhys. There's a very 80's vibe running straight through the middle their songs, yet there's a distinct "of the moment" flavour to them as well. Perhaps a cross between the cock rock and electro, with hints of Afro-Beat popping up in songs such as Raquel, of the 1980's (think, say... Van Halen covering Human League songs in the Old Blue Last) and it all works brilliantly. In fact, the opening of "I told her on Alderaan" opens up with immediate similarities to sitcom fans favourite 80's classic "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey (see the relevant episodes of Family Guy and Scrubs for ammusement). I have to admit, i haven't had much of a chance to really get to know them yet, as i think i'm on maybe my third listen now, but already things are sounding better with each play. Well, i suppose, once again it's your chance to see what you think, as per usual., though my opinion is that they're going to go far. Catch them at Adventures in the Beetroot Field at Fabric with Erol and other such nefarious characters on 20th March.
